Epoxy Floors, explained

An epoxy floor is a resin coating that bonds to the concrete and cures into a hard, sealed surface. It covers old stains, shrugs off spills and oil, and wipes clean, which is why it is the usual choice for a garage that has seen years of use.

Epoxy is also the base for every other finish we lay. Flake, solid color and metallic floors all start as the same system; what changes is what goes into the coat and on top of it.

Can it go over cracked or stained concrete?

Usually, yes. The slab is ground back first and cracks and pits are filled before any coating goes down, so the epoxy bonds to clean concrete rather than to the damage.

Which finish should I choose?

Flake is the most forgiving for a working garage, solid color suits shops that want a plain, clean floor, and metallic is for interiors where the floor is the feature. Tell us how the space gets used and we will point you the right way.

How long does it take?
